So far….
Since its formation in Q1 2021, Funding house has forged valuable relationships with Savills, who provide exceptional access to the market and transaction support through their team of specialist analysts.
The company is also fortunate to count CBRE’s deeply experienced valuations advisory team as close collaborators in its activities.
In Q1 2021, we devised Project Zennor, a Living sector development co-investment / forward funding initiative which has been established in joint venture with equity provided from funds managed by Moorfield Group and supported by Savills’ capital markets team.
That venture has embarked on the funding of an 81 apartment co-living development close to Ealing Broadway station which is due to reach practical completion in Q4 2023.
In Q2 2023 we completed the funding of a 293 bed PBSA scheme in Lincoln. Leased to Bishop Grosseteste University for 40 years, the development is being built by Bowmer and Kirkland with senior debt provided by Investec. Practical Completion is scheduled for the start of Academic Year 2024/5.
In Q2 2022, we advised Oval Real Estate in the disposal of a portfolio of regional PBSA buildings. Through our network of contacts, we placed the assets with a South East Asian investor who completed the £74mn acquisition in less than 2 months to the mutual satisfaction of both parties.
Since its formation, the company has been providing strategic advice to a Leeds-based developer, and has assisted them to secure new investor partners who have funded four projects with a collective GDV of over £100mn.
We have other investments coming forward, and constantly assess the viability of prospective projects drawing on our own experience, and the advice of our team of collaborators. Similarly, we speak regularly to investors about their aspirations for investment in the sector.
